Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre - Can Tho (L)

Depart from Saigon and drive to Ben Tre (~2.5 hours). Upon arrival board a small boat to visit typical workplaces including a small brickwork atelier, a coconut processing workshop and a local mat-weaving house. Experience the local life in a local village and stop a nice riverside restaurant for lunch. Enjoy a relaxing sampan ride along the picturesque canals. Drive to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

 

Day 2: Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

Check out hotel early in the morning then board a motor-boat for a cruise along the Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market. Have a walk on a quiet country road to meet locals. Before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City, visit the famous Binh Thuy ancient house which was chosen as one of recording sites for the romantic film “The Lover”. Have lunch en route and arrive Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.
