Itinerary

Day 1: Sai Gon – Ben Tre/ Cai Be- Chau Doc (L)

 

Option 1: Ben Tre

Depart from Saigon and drive to Ben Tre (~2 hours/ 90 km). Upon arrival board a small boat to visit typical workplaces including a small brickwork atelier, a coconut processing workshop and a local mat-weaving house. Experience the local life in a village and stop a nice riverside restaurant for lunch. Enjoy a sampan ride along the picturesque canals. Come back the pier and drive to Chau Doc (~4 hours). Overnight in Chau Doc.

 

Option 2: Vinh Long - Cai Be Floating Market

Depart from Saigon early in the morning and drive to Cai Be. Take a private boat to visit very small Cai Be floating market and discover local life. Continue cruising along small canals to an ancient house on An Binh Island. Enjoy fresh seasonal tropical fruits and have lunch before taking a short row on a sampan, then get back on a motor boat to the Nursery Garden of Mr Tam Ho. In the afternoon, proceed to Chau Doc for overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B)

Morning transfer to the ferry for boat cruise upstream Mekong river to Phnom Penh. End of services.

  • Accommodation in a shared room (twin or double) including breakfast
  • Sightseeing & entrance fees
