Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Our tour guide and driver will welcome and pick you up at the airport, transfer to Hotel. Free at your leisure and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City and Street Food Tour (B,L)

Walking along the small and narrow streets in French colonial quarters to see houses with French architecture, daily life of local people associating with shops, small stalls selling everything. Hanoi city is known with 36 streets and guilds built in the 15th century under the Le Dynasty. During different historical periods, the old Quarter had a varying number of guilds with specific streets. The walk will take you to guilds divided into 3 kinds such as agriculture, handicraft and merchant. Strolling along street like Bong street, Gai street with silk and painting shop, Dao and Duong street for clothes and watches shop, Lo Ren street with blacksmiths, Hang Ma street with things made of paper offering to the dead, Hang Thiec (Tin street), Hang Dong (Bronze street), Hang Bac (Silver street), you will see with your own eyes activities and products selling directly at these streets.

Stop over at Dong Xuan and Bac Qua market to see local people trading, selling everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, animal to clothes, fabrics, household equipments. Then heading to Hoan Kiem lake to enjoy the atmosphere around the lake.

After city tour is time when you will enjoy the variety of Hanoi food in the Old Quarter at different local stalls/restaurants. You will see the seller cooking the food and serve it right on your table. By tasting, you definitely discover the different flavor in each dish. The food can be such as Bun Cha, Rice Rolls, Spring Rolls, Noodle Soup, Sticky Rice, Pillow Cake, Quay or Vietnamese Bread. Each dish has an interesting story and they are told by our guide so that you understand about Hanoi cuisine. One of the most popular and the most special drinks you can not miss during your stay in Hanoi is Egg Coffee. Sit down at the Café in town and try it. Finish the tour of the day with a Water Puppet Show at theater. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Tam Coc - Ninh Binh (B,L)

Pick up at hotel, then transfer to Ninh Binh. After arrival, you will take a sampan on Tam Coc river to enjoy the stunning landscape of countryside with emerald water, rice field grown under water surrounded by mountains. The 2 hours cruise take you to 3 caves during the journey on the river. The sampan rower will tell you a story about how they grow the rice in this area, their life and daily activities. Then row back to the boat wharf, have lunch at local restaurant to enjoy the local cuisine.

After lunch, you will bike along the green fields to experience the quiet and huge space. The trip will take you to Bich Dong pagoda and Bird garden Thung Nham. Biking back to the town,night at hotel.

Day 4: Ninh Binh - Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel, then check out and transfer to Halong city for cruise in Halong Bay.

Around lunch time embark on Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing. Savor a delectable lunch as the boat cruises among the islands. Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave - the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay, Man´s Head Islet area. Return to the main boat and continue cruising to the quiet area while enjoy beautiful seascape on the way, sunset party on sundeck and admire the best moments of the day when the sun starts to set.

Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Lao Cai by train ( B, L)

Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunting. Have breakfast on board and enjoy the peaceful morning of Halong Bay. Cruising to Titov island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Titov or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay. Return to the boat. Freshen up and check out of your cabin. Continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more while heading back to the harbor, watch the fruit carving demonstration and participate in the Cooking Class before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch. Disembark the cruise and transfer back to Hanoi. Trip finishes at around 17:00.

Later pick up in your hotel, transfer to Hanoi railway station for checking in the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight inn the train´s cabin.

Day 6: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat village (B,L)

After a long hour train journey, you arrive at Lao Cai train station where our driver will greet and pick you up at the exit with your name on our sign. Then taking a 45 minute drive to Sapa town. On the way up to town, you can experience wonderfully about mountainous space, Hoang Lien Son mountain scenery, terraced paddy fields under your eyes through car window. The air is so fresh and pure bringing a lot of cool wind. Our driver will take you to hotel for checking in and relaxing with arrival breakfast. Then is your leisure to explore the Sapa town with attractive destinations as Sapa Stone Church built by French, Sapa market where local people trade goods everyday and a complex of French villas.

In the afternoon, having a short walk to Cat Cat village, 2 km away from Sapa town. Cat Cat village is an interesting destination on your trip to explore the landscape as terraced rice fields, Cat Cat waterfall, the hydro-electric station and especially traditional handicraft of Hmong people. Back to Sapa and overnight in hotel.

Day 7: Sapa - Lao Chai – Ta Van - Lao Cai (B,L)

At 9:00, your full day tour will be started by transferring to Lao Chai village. The huge space and stunning view to Muong Hoa valley and Hoang Lien Son mountain is going to open up in front of your eyes. Our guide tells you the culture and life of the local ethnic people so that you can understand more of them. Then take a rest at the lunch stop with a light meal before you continue your walk to Ta Van village.

Villages Lao Chai and Ta Van are home of Hmong and Giay minorities where you can learn about the unique culture, customs and especially the agriculture of growing the water rice and other agricultural activities. After all, you will be transferred back to Lao Cai to take a night train back to Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi - Hue (B)

Arrive back to Hanoi, pick up and transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi for breakfast. Then transfer to the airport to take noon flight to Hue. Overnight in Hue

Day 9: Hue City Tour (B,L)

Our guide pick you up at your hotel transfer to Toa Kham wharf. Dragon boat on Perfume river to visit Thien Mu pagoda - the oldest pagoda in Hue city. Continue to visit Imperial Citadel - the home of Vietnam last royal dynasty - the Nguyen Dynasty.

After city tour you will join Hue street food tour. Hue is known as the best city for local food. In Vietnam, each dish features a specific region. Some of Hue´s well-known specialties are Hue local cakes, sweet soup, Hue salt coffee, Vietnamese BBQ, Vietnamese tea and much more. Start the tour with Hue local cakes such as Loc Cake, Beo Cake, Fresh Spring Roll. After you will continue with Vietnamese BBQ and Hue noodle soup. Visit Dong Ba market and try Hue sweet soup with 20 kinds of sweets. Finish the tour and drop off at the hotel.

Day 10: Hue - Hoi An (B, L)

Breakfast, check out the hotel, then transfer from Hue to Hoi An. On the way, you will enjoy the scenic view to Da Nang sea from Hai Van pass, then visit Marble Mountain. Then stop for lunch. Afternoon check in hotel in Hoi An and individual program. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11: Hoi An City and Street Food Tour (B, L)

Pick up at 9:00, then walk to the Old Town, buy entrance tickets and begin the tour. Follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, Tan Ky Old House, Cultural showroom, Thu Bon river, local market.

After visiting will start walking food tour with a lot of delicious local foods. In this tour, we also provide 15 minutes of foot massage that you could relax after walking time. A local coffee shop visit is great idea to enjoy real taste of Vietnamese coffee. We also visit a local house to have some foods with very friend host. Tour ends at 17:00. Free at your leisure and overnight in Hoi An town.

Day 12: Hoi An - Saigon (B)

Check out and transfer to Da Nang airport to take a morning flight to Saigon. Arrive in Saigon, you will be picked up by our driver with sign with your name and transfered to hotel. After check-in, free at your leisure.

Day 13: Saigon City Tour (B, L)

The tour starts with a visit of the Reunification Palace is the symbolic site of the end of the Vietnam War during the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, when the North Vietnamese Army tank number 843 crashed through the gates of what was at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.

The journey continues with the visit of the War Remnants Museum. Once called the Museum of American War Crimes, this popular museum gathers a comprehensive collection of the war machinery, weapons, artifacts, documentation as well as a touching photographs exhibition dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists who perished during the conflict. Later in the morning you will stop by Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office, two of the best examples of classical old Saigon architecture. At approximately 13:00, you will enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant.

The tour continues with the visit of Giac Lam Pagoda, the oldest and finest Buddhist temple of Ho Chi Minh City, built in 1744. You will then discover Saigon´s China town (the biggest Chinatown of Vietnam), including the busy market of Binh Tay and Thien Hau Pagoda, a temple dedicated to the Chinese Goddess of the Sea. A short drive will finally bring you to the Popular Ben Thanh market. Built in 1870 by the French, this central market consists of hundreds of stalls and stands, selling local food, clothes and souvenirs. The tour will end around 17:00 when you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 14: Saigon - Mekong ( B, L)

In the motning depart from Saigon and head straight to Ben Tre (90 km / 2 hours drive). On arrival, boarding a small boat to visit typical workplaces including small brick factories, a coconut processing workshop and a local mat-weaving house. Stop at a quiet village, take a short walk to witness local life and hop on a xe-lôi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) to reach a nice riverside restaurant for a local lunch. After lunch, take a short cycling tour to explore the surrounding fields before boarding a sampan for a tranquil trip along the picturesque canals. Come back to the port and continue to visit Ben Tre local market before heading back to Saigon and return to Saigon.

Day 15: Saigon Departure

Transfer to Saigon airport to take a flight home.
